Congratulations to Jodi Grewcock, Grace Scrivens, and Mady Villiers who have all been named in an ECB Development XI to take on New Zealand Women on Friday (21 June).
The 50 over contest is taking place in Leicester, as preparation for the White Ferns ahead of their upcoming Metro Bank ODI series against Heather Knight’s England Women, which begins in Durham on 26 June, and important match experience for those selected.
Northern Diamonds’ Hollie Armitage captains the group while England performance batting coach Jon Lewis will lead the team as head coach.
Bowlers Kate Cross and Lauren Filer, who have been named in England’s ODI squad for the forthcoming Metro Bank ODI series against the White Ferns, both feature.
Having represented England U19s in their Tri Series against Sri Lanka and Australia earlier this year, Sunrisers’ Jodi Grewcock is also selected as well as Thunder duo Seren Smale and Fi Morris after impressing for their regions.
The match takes place at the County Ground, Leicestershire CCC on Friday 21 June with play starting at 11am.
