Sunrisers Head Coach Andy Tennant has named an unchanged squad of fourteen to travel to West Sussex for the return Charlotte Edwards Cup fixture against Southern Vipers.
The two sides faced each other on Friday night at Chelmsford, when the defending champions came out on top by 19 runs in an exciting contest under the lights.
Jo Gardner hit her highest score for Sunrisers, making 79* at the top of the order. The all-rounder hit nine fours and two sixes, as she shared an entertaining partnership of 75 with Mady Villiers.
Villiers had bowled nicely earlier in the evening, picking up one wicket for 20 runs in her four overs, but a Vipers third wicket partnership of 110 took the game away from Sunrisers with the visitors reaching 171/2.
Sunrisers will be eager to get revenge against the same opposition on Bank Holiday Monday, with the game taking place at the picturesque Arundel Castle ground.
The game starts at 2.30pm. Tickets can either be purchased online, or on the gate, at £10 for adults and £5 for U18.
If you can’t make it to the game, make sure you tune in to watch the free live stream on Vipers’ YouTube channel, alongside updates on our social media channels. We wish a safe travel to those of you who are making the trip down.
