Congratulations to Amara Carr, Kate Coppack, Jo Gardner, and Cordelia Griffith who have all been selected to join new squads in this year’s edition of the Hundred.
Coppack receives her first Hundred call up this year, after impressing with the ball over the course of the summer so far. She will head over the border and join the Welsh Fire squad in an exciting move for her.
Griffith, who has featured for Manchester Originals for the entire duration of the competition so far, will make the move to Oval Invincibles and join Sunrisers teammates Eva Gray, Dané van Niekerk, and Mady Villiers in the reigning champions’ squad.
Wicketkeeper Carr will head north to link up with the Originals, after spending the last two seasons with London Spirit.
Jo Gardner has signed for Trent Rockets for this year’s competition, which will be her third team in as many years. Having been at the Invincibles for the first season, and then heading south to Southern Brave last year, she will feature for the Nottingham-based side in the 2023 edition.
They take the total number of Sunrisers players featuring in this year’s competition up to nine, with Grace Scrivens (London Spirit) and Abtaha Maqsood (Birmingham Phoenix) also taking part. The tournament gets underway with Trent Rockets facing Southern Brave on Tuesday 1 August, and will be going throughout August before the Lord’s final on Sunday 27 August.
