Sunrisers are excited to announce that former professional cricketer Chris Liddle has joined the coaching team ahead of the 2023 season.
Liddle enjoyed fifteen years as a professional cricketer, playing for Leicestershire, Sussex, and Gloucestershire, before going into coaching. A left-arm pace bowler, he has joined the Sunrisers setup to work with the current seamers in the group.
The role is on top of his commitments as Northamptonshire’s Assistant Coach and Lead Bowling Coach, and has seen him work once a week with the squad so far this winter. This further strengthens the link between Sunrisers and Northamptonshire, who are one of the three First Class counties in the region.
Andy Tennant, Sunrisers Head Coach, said: “It has been great to add Chris to the high quality group of specialist coaches we have working with the players. I know our pace bowling group have loved working with him, and his simple and supportive coaching style, along with previous experience with London Spirit Women, has made him a great fit for the group. Our thanks to Northants as one of our key partners, for helping make this happen.”
